Description

Delightfully crispy homemade potato chips made in an air fryer for a healthier alternative to traditional frying.


Ingredients

  • 2 large potatoes
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Salt to taste
  • Optional seasonings (e.g., garlic powder, paprika, cayenne)

Instructions

  1. Wash the potatoes thoroughly.
  2. Slice them thinly, about 1/8 inch thick.
  3. Soak the sliced potatoes in a bowl of cold water for 30 minutes.
  4. Drain the water and pat the slices dry with paper towels.
  5. Preheat your air fryer to 360°F (180°C).
  6. Toss the dried potato slices with olive oil and any desired seasonings.
  7. Arrange the potato slices in a single layer in the air fryer basket.
  8. Cook for 15-20 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through.
  9. Remove the chips, sprinkle with salt to taste, and serve immediately.

Notes

Use Russet potatoes for the best crunch. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 2 days.
